Announcement of selection as a member of the FTSE4Good Index Series and FTSE Blossom Japan Index

Nihon M&A Center Inc. (head office – Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; representative – Suguru Miyake; URL – https://www.nihon-ma.co.jp/en/) has for the first time been selected as a member of the FTSE4Good Index Series, a global benchmark investment index for ESG (Environmental, Social , Governance), and as a member of FTSE Blossom Japan Index, a general ESG share price index for Japanese companies.

The FTSE4Good Index Series and FTSE Blossom Japan Index are investment indices produced by FTSE Russell, a division of the London Stock Exchange group, and are composed of companies which fulfil the various ESG evaluation criteria. They act as yardsticks for investment selection for investors placing importance on corporate social responsibility and sustainability. FTSE Blossom Japan Index is used as an ESG investment index by Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), which administers and manages the world’s largest public pension fund. The periodic reviews of constituents take place every year in June and December, which this time has led to the selection of our company.

Founded in April 1991, for over 30 years now our company has specialized in M&A support services for SMEs. Thanks to the support from all our customers, alliance partners and shareholders we have become established as the unrivaled industry leader. In the future we shall further endeavor to meet everyone’s expectations to increase our corporate value.

Our company is already included in the MSCI Japan Equity Women’s Empowerment Index (WIN), so this new selection means we are now in two of the four ESG indices adopted by GPIF for domestic equity investment.
